Colored Pencil Society of America: Atlanta Chapter

Next Exhibit

The Johns Creek Arts Center is honored to host this exhibition of works by the members of the Atlanta Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America. Founded in in 1990, the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA) is a nonprofit organization for colored pencil artists and enthusiasts working to promote colored pencils as a fine art medium through educational programming, exhibitions and workshops.  The Johns Creek Arts Center has hosted the CPSA several times and it is always one of our most well attended and popular exhibitions. We were all beyond excited when CPSA member and our very own colored pencil instructor, Debra Yaun, asked us to host this exhibition.

The esteemed judge for this year’s exhibition is Connie Lynne Reilly. An Atlanta, Georgia native, Ms. Reilly  is a professional artist and instructor working primarily in oil, pastel, watercolor, pencil, and charcoal. Her sensitively rendered portraits and paintings have received national and international recognition. She is  represented in private, public and museum collections including the Booth Museum, Tennessee Tech University, Atlanta History Center, John Bell Hood Society, and St Joseph’s Hospital. Visit Connie’s Instagram page here.

We would like to extend our gratitude to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, Fulton County Arts and Culture and the Georgia Council for the Arts for their major funding which makes exhibitions like this possible.
