In this user-friendly beginning digital design course, you’ll learn to create unique greeting cards and creative personal stationary even if you have limited experience and have previously been intimidated by technology. After mastering the basics, you’ll use your creativity and newfound digital design skills to design meaningful personalized keepsakes for family and friends.

In this project-based class, students will explore the possibilities and challenges of a different artistic medium each week. Projects may include acrylic painting on canvas, collage, polymer clay, pottery painting, watercolor, printmaking, and more. This is a great opportunity for the novice artist to experiment with different artistic media.
Novices to ceramics will learn the basic handbuilding techniques, including pinch, coil, and slab construction as well as glazing and surface decorating techniques. Students will create fun, decorative, and functional objects while honing their ceramics skills.
This introductory course will give you the tools you need to create a dynamic and expressive art journal. If you are someone who journals, you are already aware of the benefits of expressing your thoughts on paper. An illustrated art journal expands the journaling process. it is both a visual art as well as a written record. An effective art journal combines elements of writing, drawing, painting, collage, and even printmaking to create expressive and highly personal unique books. Topics explored can include snippets from your every day life, as well as your bigger hopes, dreams, and fears. Your artist’s journal is your opportunity to explore and to record your innermost thoughts.

Join us for upcoming art workshops led by Amanda Jones from the Johns Creek Arts Center, you will complete a fun, seasonal work of art in one session with all instruction and supplies provided.
