Adult Winter 2024 Student and Member Showcase:

What A Wonderful World

The Johns Creek Arts Center (JCAC) wants to include your artwork in the upcoming exhibition, What A Wonderful World. 2023 was an unquestionably challenging year. Although it often seems that all the news is incredibly awful and there is little to smile about, there will always be always inspiration, beauty, wonder, joy, and magic to be discovered everywhere. Mary Oliver, amazing poet and keen observer of the human condition said it beautifully, “When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement. I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms. “

JCAC would like to exhibit your artwork featuring subjects you find particularly joyful or meaningful. Family, friends, pets, a favorite dish, a particular color.…the subject is limited only by your imagination. Even better, if you decide to include a few lines letting us know why you chose a particular image.

Our biannual student shows are one of our favorite exhibitions as they celebrate the artwork created by our talented JCAC family. Without your support we could not exist. The exhibition submission deadline is February 10. Artists will be notified of works selected for exhibition by February 19th. The drop off dates for this exhibit are February 26th – 29th. Viewing dates for the exhibition are March 4th -March 29. There are first, second, and third place awards in both Student and Member categories as well as a People’s Choice Award determined by popular vote. The closing reception and awards presentation is March 29th from 6-7:30. Works will be available for viewing Monday through Friday from 10-4 and on Saturday from 10-2.
