Call for Participation 2nd Annual High Honors Exhibition
June 20, 2020 – July 31, 2020
The Johns Creek Arts Center is seeking artists for High Honors: Works by Student Artists. This annual juried exhibition showcases the exceptional talent of high school student artists living in the metro Atlanta area. There will be Johns Creek Arts Center class scholarships and other prizes awarded in conjunction with this exhibition. If the arts center is able to reopen, the works will be on view at the Johns Creek Arts Center June 20th through July 31st. There is an opening reception and presentation of awards for this exhibit scheduled for June 20th from 6-7:30 pm. If social distancing restrictions have been not been lifted due to public health concerns, High Honors will take place as a virtual exhibition airing on multiple social media platforms.

This exhibit is open to all high school students currently enrolled in Fulton, Forsyth and Gwinnett county schools. Homeschooled students of high school age are also eligible. Each entrant will have at least one work accepted for exhibition.
Only original artwork will be accepted. All works must have been completed within the last 3 years. Eligible media limited to mixed media, ceramics, drawing, fiber, printmaking, painting, photography, and sculpture.
Artwork limited to a maximum weight of 50 lbs. for hanging work and 50 lbs. for sculpture. Work may be no larger than 48 inches (framed or installed) in any direction.
All work must be professionally presented and delivered ready to hang. Accepted artists are responsible for delivery and transportation of work to and from the Johns Creek Arts Center during the designated drop off dates June 16th through June 18th 2020 between 10-4.
JCAC may duplicate and reproduce images of artwork for publicity purposes.
All works must remain on view for the duration of the exhibition period.
Each artist may enter up to three works. Artists should submit images through email. Enter your works through email to email@example.com. Send your images as attachment to this email. Please make sure your high resolution jpeg images are clear and in focus and free of distracting background… Each email submission must include the following information for each piece submitted:

Price or NFS designation
Submissions will be accepted through May30th.
Artists will be notified of acceptance by June 8th. Accepted work must be delivered to the JCAC during the designated drop off dates June 16th – 18th, 2019 between 10-4.
All work may be for sale or NFS. If a work is sold during the exhibit the artist retains 75% of the selling price. 25% will be retained by the JCAC.
The exhibition closes July 31st. All artwork must be picked up from JCAC between August 3rd and August 6th. All artwork not picked up within two weeks after the deadline will be considered abandoned and become property of the arts center.
