Call for Participation

Fanciful Fall: JCAC Adult Student and Member Showcase Fall 2023 

The Johns Creek Arts Center (JCAC) wants to include your artwork in the upcoming exhibition, Fanciful Fall: JCAC Adult Student and Member Showcase. This biannual event is one of our favorite exhibitions as it celebrates the artwork created by our talented JCAC family. Without your support and patronage, we could not exist.

Important Dates:


Artwork submission deadline: September 8th, 2023. Deadline extended to 4pm September 15, 2023.

Artists will be notified of works selected for exhibition by September 12, 2023.

Artwork drop off dates are September 18th – September 19th 9am – 5pm.

Exhibition dates are September 23rd through October 27th, 2023. The exhibition will be available for viewing Monday through Friday from 10a-4:30p and Saturday from 10-2, by appointment. Additionally, the exhibition can be viewed virtually on the JCAC website.

The closing reception and awards presentation will be held October 27th from 6-7:30.

Artwork pick up: Oct. 27 at 7:30pm, Oct. 28 10a-2p by appointment, October 30 & 31 10a – 4p

Instructions for Participation:

This exhibition is open to all current JCAC adult students and members. Each participant may enter up to two works. Student and member work will be judged separately. If you are a current student, you will submit your work in the student category. If you are not a current student, you will submit in the member category. Because of limited gallery space you may not enter works in both categories. If you are taking more than one class, you may submit up to two works from each class. You may not submit work that has been exhibited at the arts center within the last two years.  Eligible media includes mixed media, ceramics, drawing, fiber, printmaking, painting, photography, and sculpture. Submissions may be no larger than 48 inches (framed or installed) in any direction. All 2-D work must be ready to hang with either a sawtooth or hanging wire.  Work may not exceed a maximum weight of 25 lbs. for hanging artworks or 50 lbs. for sculpture. All works larger than 12×16 inches must be framed with plexiglass or acrylic rather than glass for safety reasons.

Work should be submitted via email to and include the following:

Submissions should include clear images of artwork in high quality .jpeg/.jpg or.png files (image size should be a minimum of 1000px high and1000px wide).  Images will be used in our online gallery. If possible please include the title of your piece or your name in the image file (ie. Title or name.jpg) Please reach out to if you need assistance sending images of your work.

Submissions must also include the artist’s name, email address, phone number, title of the work, medium, size, and price or designation that the work is not for sale. Please fill out our Google Form here OR down load our Artwork Submission Form, print, scan and email the form to along with your images.

Gallery space is limited, and we may not be able to exhibit all artwork submitted. However, all artists submitting work for consideration will have at least one work included in the show. Artists are responsible for delivery of work to JCAC during the designated drop off dates and times.  All work must be professionally presented. JCAC reserves the right to reproduce images of artwork for publicity purposes.


There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons and other awards associated with the exhibition. There are separate award categories for students and members.


Artists may use the exhibition as a venue for selling their work. work.  If a work is sold during the exhibition, the artist retains 75% of the selling price. 25% will be retained by the JCAC.  Artists may also exhibit their works with an “NFS” (not for sale)
