The Johns Creek Arts Center is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibition, Hallyu: A Celebration of Korean Art. Hallyu is a term of Chinese origin and translates as Korean Wave. The term refers to the worldwide meteoric rise in the popularity of Korean culture. Johns Creek is home to a large vibrant Korean population. The metro Atlanta area is home to many talented and inspirational Korean and Korean American artists. We are excited to host an exhibition bringing these artists together and sharing the rich traditions of Korean arts with our friends and neighbors. Hallyu is a multi- media exhibition which will include traditional Korean art forms such as Hanji as well as work by Korean artists working in a variety of styles and media. This exhibition will be available for viewing from April 8 through May 10. There will be a free public reception with entertainment and refreshments on Saturday, April 20th from 12-2 pm. Viewing hours for this exhibit are Monday through Friday from 10-4:30pm and Saturday from 10-2 pm.
