Participants will learn the basic technical aspects of screen printing including multiple color runs, stencil, drawing and digital output that are used in fine art applications, as well as for fashion, luxury good and interior spaces. Through hands on activities, students will create prints from prepared screens and then create original monoprints using the screen print process.
Robert Brown, Chair of Printmaking at SCAD will conduct the workshop, which will last from 10 am-4 pm. Lunch is provided, and there will be a lunch break at 1 pm.
Join us later in the evening for the opening reception for "Breaking Ground: Innovations in Printmaking," held from 6:30-8:00 pm. Refreshments are provided, and the reception is free and open to the public.
