This course will have guided step-by-step demonstrations of paint techniques with acrylics on canvas. We will learn texturing, sponging, stippling, glazing, dry-brush, palette knife, dripping, blending and other techniques. We will learn how to prepare surfaces and build up the paint surface with layers. We will learn how to select, blend and mix colors to create pure abstracts, imaginary scenes and natural forms. You will learn how to add depth with layers with texture and color and to create a balanced abstract composition. We will paint a different picture each week. This course is suitable for beginners and those who want to add to or improve their painting techniques.
