Elevate your Art with Encaustic Wax Painting!  It stands alone beautifully, yet is the perfect medium to incorporate into Mixed Media pieces for truly breathtaking work!  This is accomplished through the utilization of techniques unique only to the Encaustic painting medium.  

This class will cover: set up, substrate prep, color and materials selection, various application techniques, balance, and editing to arrive at a composed piece.

Students will produce Encaustic and Encaustic Mixed Media Pieces during our session, using encaustic wax pigments and mediums, acrylic paint, ink, cyanotype printing, specialty papers, botanicals, fibers and small item ephemera.  

Instructor will demonstrate all techniques and support each student individually as they work.

I strongly recommend you purchase supplies 1-2 weeks ahead of the class in order to ensure you have them.

Assorted sizes of Hake brushes (Boars/Hog Hair), Wood or Wood/Metal handles, no plastic- should be between $12-15.
