Architectural Design Camp Grades 7th-12th, August 3rd - 7th

In this camp, students learn how to create and develop designs by building their own architectural model. We’ll start with concept sketches and develop them through plans, sections, and elevations. Students will also learn the fundamental design principles and how architects use them to create inspiring, creative spaces.

Sparkle Camp Grades 1st-5th August 3-7

Teen Clay Wheel Grades 7th-12th, August 3rd - 7th

Learn how to throw on the wheel to make fun and functional ceramic pieces!  Teens will learn the techniques needed to create ceramic dishware as well as handbuilt clay sculptures.  The pieces will be fired in a kiln and then students will learn different glazing and painting techniques to create truly unique ceramics.

Week 11: Advanced Drawing & Painting: Adventures in Color Grades 6th-8th Johns Creek Arts Center Location August 3-7

The arts center cares about your health and safety, therefore all campers are required to wear facial masks or shields. Ready to expand on the basic drawing skills you have already learned? In this class you will get to practice using more advanced techniques to create a more realistic piece of artwork. In this drawing course we work with a range of techniques and dry media. The class is designed as a series of sequential projects, building on fundamental drawing principles such as proportion, scale, value and perspective. Students are introduced to common media utilized to complete drawings. Students also gain understanding and knowledge of space, light and composition while learning to "see" in a manner that translates the subject into a drawing or painting.

JCAC art camps introduce children to a wide range of art making techniques and mediums, from watercolors, to acrylic painting, to polymer clay, drawing and so much more! You can rest assured your child is in a supervised, creative environment making art and new friends.

Learn how to create fun, decorative, and functional clay projects!  Students will explore fundamental clay skills like pinch, coil, and slab to build their own ceramic creations.  They will then learn glazing and surface decorating techniques to finish off their one-of-a-kind creations!
